What To Expect
When you work with City Kitchens, not only is your room designed to meet your individual style and needs, but the level of service is customized as well. The City Kitchens process has been designed to offer you as much or as little assistance as you need. We will work seamlessly with homeowners, contractors, architects, interior designers and anyone else who may be involved in your project to make sure that it goes smoothly and efficiently.
Large or small, most projects follow our project process below:
Complimentary Consultation
We begin the process by meeting to discuss how you live now, and how you wish to live, in your proposed space. The initial consultation meeting is free-of-charge.
At the initial meeting, we will:
- Provide an overview of City Kitchens, our services and our capabilities
- Explain the renovation process in detail, and how it will impact you
- Discuss your living space, your stylistic preferences and your lifestyle, which will translate into the your custom design
- Review any architectural plans, measurements or other information relevant to your project
- Determine the scope of your project based on your needs, desires and budget
- Discuss an agreement for design services
Design
In the Design phase, all the details start coming together. Actual sizes and shapes, trims and accessories are selected.
During this time we:
- Meet with you to further collaborate on your design
- Visit the job site as needed to take final measurements and get a better understanding of the space
- Help you select materials that are right for your tastes and budget
- Create your custom design plans/drawings and make revisions based on your input and feedback
Construction
The Construction phase is exciting--you will see your vision start to come to life!
During this time we:
- Place orders for cabinets, appliances, countertops and other materials necessary for your project
- Work closely with your contractor—and we can help you find one if you don’t already have someone in place
- Visit the job site regularly to ensure that the project is going smoothly and according to plan
